Our Story
In the Summer of 2020, we envisioned an opportunity to bridge the digital arts gap in traditional high school art curricula by bringing design experts and project-based learning to the virtual and physical classroom. Today, Girlz by Design offers students living in the DMV area a safe space to share new ideas, explore cutting-edge design solutions, and engage in a community of creatives.

We are run by a team of womxn based in Washington, DC. As a community-based and community-engaged organization we are led by the needs of the schools, students and local partners we work alongside.
