In School
As a DCPS partner, GBD can work with teachers across the DC area directly to tailor a curriculum of weekly in-class workshops to their needs and interests. Programming is adjusted to the individual school’s semester schedule.
After School
GBD welcomes partnerships with local organizations to facilitate after-school programming for high school students. GBD provides curriculum, teachers and speakers for weekly workshops held in-person or virtually in partnership with community centers, arts workshops and performing arts centers. Community Workshops
In addition to long term weekly programs, GBD provides one-off workshops focused on specific topics like career development and portfolio reviews. This includes themed sessions which immerse students in specific design fields such as branding, architecture, animation, etc. Workshops typically last a full-day.
Summer Camp
Our summer programming invites students for 1-2 weeks of introductory design and digital arts workshops. Students will have the opportunity to build their skills and get creative by experimenting with design softwares,collaborating on design thinking activities,learning about digital career paths, and crafting a final project that supports a community-identified need.
